We learned a lot about pheromones in Feline Behavior Certification but I remained skeptical of the synthetic products - Feliway being the leading brand. I never had a baseline from which to judge if the product works, however most of the concentrated cat shelters and rescues use it, so I assumed there was some benefit.
I finally got to measure it...I bought the Travel Spray and decided to use it in the car on the commute between Santa Fe and Dallas. We sprayed the inside cabin about 15 minutes before leaving. Tabasco usually has very little travel stress but had begun to drool a lot for the first 30 minutes (due to stress and maybe stomach upset.) With the Feliway Travel Spray the drooling didn't happen and he seemed to relax into the ride more quickly.
